Lundqvist stars in win for Rangers

Goaltender Henrik Lundqvist made an incredible 33 saves as the New York Rangers eased to a 3-0 NHL victory over the Pittsburgh Penguins on Wednesday.

Kevin Hayes opened the scoring 8:34 into the opening period and third-period goals from Dominic Moore and Jesper Fast wrapped up the Rangers' fourth win in a row.

The Detroit Red Wings climbed to second place in the Atlantic Division with a 3-1 win over the Ottawa Senators.

Danny DeKeyser and Henrik Zetterberg scored early in the first and second periods respectively to give the Red Wings a 2-0 advantage.

Zack Smith pulled a goal back for Ottawa on the powerplay with 2:24 remaining but Darren Helm doubled Detroit's lead with 71 seconds remaining to end all hopes of a comeback.

Jannik Hansen's 16th goal of the season earned the Vancouver Canucks a 2-1 win over the Arizona Coyotes.

Defenceman Jake Virtanen put the Canucks ahead 6:27 into the game but Martin Hanzal's powerplay marker early in the second levelled before Hansen struck late in that period to win it.
