Super Bowl 50 on Sunday wrapped up the NFL campaign, and so we’re now heading into the off-season, and that means one thing: players have a lot of time on their hands.
Speaking of hands… What better way to herald in the break than by trying to break a world record? The record in question? The number of one-handed catches in a minute.
New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees and New York Giants star Odell Beckham Jnr set the record last year with 33 catches, and this time around it’s the turn of Washington quarterback Kirk Cousins and Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown to try and better that mark.
Not only did they better it, they smashed it…
With 40 catches Brown and Cousins made the previous record look like the stuff of amateurs.
Personally, we just appreciated the (in no way) serious manner in which the record attempt was handled.
