Jones wary of Canna threat

England boss Eddie Jones has identified Carlo Canna as Italy's dangerman when the teams meet in their six Nations clash in Rome on Sunday.

Jones admitted that he has warned his players to be wary of the 23-year-old Zebre pivot, whom he's likened to legendary Wallabies fly-half Stephen Larkham.

"The young 10 (Carlo Canna), who plays with the headgear, looks a bit like Stephen Larkham,' Jones told PA Sport.

"He's got a little bit of promise and takes the ball to the line a bit more than a normal Italian.

"We've got to be right on our game.

Jones has hinted that he might ring a few changes to his squad after they kicked off their campaign with a 15-9 victory over Scotland at Murrayfield last weekend.

"We'll pick the best 23 for Italy so we could conceivably pick a faster pack," he added.

"It's our next game. All I'm worried about is Italy.

'Italy have some young players and they traditionally play that European style of game, heavily focused around their eight and nine, thir marquee players."
