Bobby Ray Parks, Jr. erased his previous scoring high of 8 points and finished with 12 in 13 minutes, but his efforts weren’t enough to help the Texas Legends from falling to a 107-113 double overtime loss to Iowa Energy at their homecourt on Thursday morning (Manila time).
The Fil-Am swingman connected on 3 of 6 shots and was perfect from the line (4-of-4) while adding 2 rebounds and a steal in the loss.
Parks’s last 3-pointer at the 8:50 mark of the 4th quarter ignited the Legends’ 15-0 run that saw them take a 9-point lead at 100-91.
The Energy, however, were able to recover and won it in the 2nd extra session.
Tu Holloway led the Legends with 31 points and 4 assists while Jamil Wilson and Brandon Ashley combined for 34 points and 22 rebounds.
Andrew Harrison paced the Energy with a game-high 33 points.
The Legends will return to action and host the Raptors 905 on Saturday (Manila time).
