Is Bo Perasol returning ‘home’ to coach his alma mater UP?
It is possible, according to Fighting Maroons team manager Dan Palami.
“He’s being considered, but nothing is final,” Palami told FOX Sports on Thursday. “It’s all preliminary actually.”
Perasol coached Ateneo for 3 seasons before resigning after the Blue Eagles failed to make it to the championship round for the 3rd straight year.
“We’re exchanging ideas,” Palami said of Perasol, who once coached UPIS after playing for the seniors squad from 1990-94.
If the deal pushes through, the latter will replace Rensy Bajar and take on a team that finished tied for last in Season 78, one that lost 11 of its last 12 games after starting the tournament 2-0.
Perasol confirmed to FOX Sports that he is, indeed, in talks for the coaching job, but did not divulge further details, saying that nothing is set in stone yet.
