Houston's Arian Foster will miss the remainder of the NFL season after reportedly tearing his Achilles during his side's defeat by Miami on Sunday.
The running back was carried from the field after suffering the injury early in the fourth quarter, after slumping to the floor and holding his lower right leg.
Foster had been enjoying a strong performance with the Texans, having made 18 carries for 59 yards, five catches for 66 yards as well as two touchdowns.
It was a non-contact injury and Houston coach Bill O'Brien said: "It obviously didn't look good."
Foster has already been out of action for large chunks of the current campaign with a groin injury.
Miami went on to win the game in Florida 44-26.
