Detroit Lions have sacked offensive coordinator Joe Lombardi, offensive line coach Jeremiah Washburn and assistant offensive line coach Terry Heffernan.
The Lions have the worst record in the NFL this year, and it appears the 28-19 loss to Minnesota on Sunday has come at a cost to three members of their backroom staff.
Head coach Jim Caldwell gave a cryptic response when asked in his news conference earlier on Monday if any changes in coaching personnel were on the horizon.
He said none were planned at that time but added he wouldn't rule any out in the future.
It appears the future was only a matter of hours away.
