The Chicago Bulls came back from a 24-point deficit to win 115-111 in overtime against the Philadelphia 76ers with Jimmy Butler scoring a career-high 53 points on Thursday.
Butler has joined a unique group of Bulls players that have scored 50 points in a game – Michael Jordan, Chet Walker and Jamal Crawford.
He added 10 rebounds and six assists for the Bulls.
For Philadelphia, Robert Covington scored 25 points and Ish Smith added 24 but missed a possible game-tying layup in overtime with 25 seconds remaining.
The San Antonio Spurs remained unbeaten at home with their 10th straight victory when defeating the Cleveland Cavaliers 99-95, Tony Parker scoring 24 points and Kawhi Leonard adding 20.
Parker got 18 of his points before halftime and after the break, Leonard scored 16 points. San Antonio improved to 23-0 at home winning their 32nd straight regular-season home game.
Lebron James scored 23 points and Tristan Thompson added 18 and 13 rebounds for the Cavaliers, who were leading by 12-points in the first half.
The Memphis Grizzlies beat the Detroit Pistons 103-101 thanks to Mario Chalmers hitting the game-winning shot with eight-tenths of a second remaining.
Chalmers scored 25 points overall, including last seven for Memphis, who were 101-96 behind with 3:07 remaining.
Ersan Ilyasova added 17 for the Pistons.
The Toronto Raptors edged the Orlando Magic 106-103 in overtime at the O2 Arena in London with Kyle Lowry scoring 24 points in Toronto’s fourth straight win.
Victor Oladipo scored 27 points and Evan Fournier got 21 for Orlando. This was the sixth loss in seven games for the Magic.
The Golden State Warriors got past the Los Angeles Lakers 116-98 for their 37th consecutive home victory.
Stephen Curry nailed 24 of his 26 points on 3-pointers, giving the Warriors their seventh straight home win over the Lakers.
For the Lakers, Jordan Clarkson was their top performer scoring 22 points with four rebounds and one assist.
The Sacramento Kings sneaked past the Utah Jazz 103-101 with DeMarcus Cousins nailing 36 points, 17 rebounds and one assist.
For the Jazz, Trey Lyles was their top performer with 19 points, three rebounds and two assists.
