NBA Wrap: Warriors return to winning ways

Golden State Warriors guard Klay Thompson dropped 43 points as the Golden State Warriors got back to their winning ways with a 128-103 win over the Phoenix Suns. 

Thompson received some excellent support from Stephen Curry, who scored 25 points, and Draymond Green, who recorded a triple-double, which consisted of 16 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists. 

Mirza Teletovic was the Suns’ best player, scoring 24 points on nine of 13 shooting. 

C.J. Miles scored 20 points as the Indiana Pacers beat the Dallas Mavericks 107-81. 

Miles was well supported by Paul George, who scored 19 points and grabbed seven rebounds. 

Raymond Felton had 16 points for the Mavericks. 

An all-round performance by the Orlando Magic saw them cruise past the Charlotte Hornets 113-98. 

Despite not being the top-scorer Nikola Vucevic had another solid game as he finished with 14 points and eight rebounds. 

Jeremy Lamb scored a team-high 16 points for the Hornets. 

The Miami Heat won their third consecutive game after defeating the Brooklyn Nets 104-98. 

Dwyane Wade scored 28 points for the Heat on 13 of 17 shooting, while Hassan Whiteside has 20 points and 13 rebounds. 

Brook Lopez ended the game with 25 points. 

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope scored 31 points and pulled down 12 rebounds as the Detroit Pistons edged the Boston Celtics 119-116. 

Isaiah Thomas dropped 38 points for the Celtics. 

Aaron Afflalo and Carmelo Anthony combined for 49 points as the New York Knicks downed the Minnesota Timberwolves 107-102. 

Afflalo finished with 29 points, while Anthony scored 20. 

Karl-Anthony Towns scored a team-high 25 points for the Timberwolves. 

The Philadelphia 76ers’ woes continued as they were crushed 127-106 by the Atlanta Hawks

Despite 24 points from Isaiah Canaan, the Sixers were handed their 26th loss in 27 games this season. 

Hawks power forward Paul Millsap dropped 21 points on seven of eight shooting. 

Jimmy Butler scored 24 points as the Chicago Bulls eased past the Memphis Grizzlies 98-85. Courtney Lee was the Grizzlies’ top-scorer with 18 points. 

A 24-point night from Kevin Durant saw the Oklahoma City Thunder breeze past the Portland Trail Blazers 106-90. 

Durant received some excellent support from Enes Kanter, who scored 12 points and grabbed 13 rebounds. 

C.J. McCollum dropped 24 points for the Trail Blazers. 

The San Antonio Spurs won a team-record 23 straight games at home after beating the Washington Wizards 114-95. 

Kawhi Leonard scored 27 points on nine of 15 shooting, while LaMarcus Aldridge had 14 points and six rebounds. 

Marcin Gortat and John Wall scored 20 points apiece for the Wizards. 

Anthony David scored 17 points and grabbed 13 rebounds as the New Orleans Pelicans defeated the Utah Jazz 104-94. 

Jazz power forward Derrick Favors ended up with 22 points, seven rebounds and five assists. 

Chris Paul put up a strong performance to lead the Los Angeles Clippers to a 103-90 win over the Milwaukee Bucks

Paul finished with 21 points, while also grabbing six rebounds and dishing out eight assists. 

Michael Carter-Williams and O.J. Mayo both scored 17 points for the Bucks.
