Lukaku: Big Dunc inspires me

The Everton striker only found the net twice in his club???s first 10 games of the season but his goal in the 1-1 draw with Hull was his third in his last four games in all competitions.

His strike against the Tigers was akin to the way Ferguson, who??played for the club in two spells and is a cult hero among the fans,??found the net during his career as a player at Goodison Park.

Lukaku showed great power in the air to release Kevin Mirallas down the right flank before powering home a cross with his left foot.

When asked about working with Ferguson, Lukaku said: ???He???s very important. Not only him but the whole staff. I work with them on special aspects of my game and I???m getting back to my best.???

Sone Aluko???s second-half equaliser for Hull was the second time in a week Everton have squandered a lead following on from their 2-1 defeat at Tottenham.

The Belgian striker has criticised his team???s game-management and has called for him and his fellow attackers to be more clinical in front of goal.

???We need to manage the game better when we are leading,??? he said.

???It???s something we need to work on as when we score we have a tendency to concede quickly after the goal.

???Up front we need to be a bit more clinical. Before Hull scored we had two chances to win the game. In that situation you really need to try and score the second goal as quick as possible if you want to be in cruise control. In this league, any team can come back to get a result.

???As footballers we all play football to win, especially in front of our home crowd as they support us every game. The expectations are very high this season because of what we produced last year.

“We have a good squad but now things aren???t going for us. We need to fight and stay mentally strong.???
