Malaysia coach Dollah Salleh has said he is confident that Muslim Ahmed can fill the gap left by captain Shukor Adan's suspension.
Adan will miss Sunday's AFF Suzuki Cup semi-final first leg tie against Indonesia due to suspension in a big blow to Dollah's side.
However, the 51-year-old believes that Muslim is a more than adequate replacement.
"Muslim is commanding at the back and even partnered Fadhli Shas in the 2010 AFF Suzuki Cup, which Malaysia won. He should not have any problems partnering his Police team-mate Afif Amirudin," said Dollah.
"I don’t think I have a problem here. Of course, I’ll miss two versatile players but the question is who will start? I’ll be working on the replacements in the next couple of days."
