Joshua: Title fight in sight

The Olympic gold medallist made the professional transformation just over a year ago, and has notched an impressive run of 10 fights unbeaten.

???I feel, in the current heavyweight division, if I keep on progressing, it will edge me towards a world title fight,??? Joshua said.

???I don???t know when the opportunity will present itself, so I???ve got to be prepared at all times.

???But I feel in 2015 – if I can do what I did this year in 2015 – I feel I???m definitely pushing towards that [world title] shot.???

Joshua, though, is not underestimating the threat posed by his American opponent. Johnson went the distance with Vitali Klitschko five years ago but has lost four of his past five bouts, including a points ??decisions to Tyson Fury and Dereck Chisora.

???I???ve got my eye on the prize, I???ve got a job at hand January 31,??? Joshua said.

???Boxing, you have to give yourself a 10 to eight-week window ??to get fit, and unfortunately my one???s come over Christmas

???I can???t really slacken at the moment, because my next opponent is quite tasty, he???s prepared to go the rounds.

???He???s very confident, he has a history of beating up and coming Olympians, and unfortunately I???m one of these guys as well.

???I???m on a journey, I???m on a course, a destination, and Kevin Johnson is a hurdle in the way.”
