Pistons get better of Cavaliers

Brandon Jennings scored 25 points for the Pistons as the Cavaliers fell to their second blowout defeat at home in a fortnight as the visitors came through 103-80.

“We’re not a very good team, as far as on the court, where we’re still trying to find our way,” Cavaliers forward LeBron James told NBA.com.

“Right now we’re just not very good in every aspect of the game that we need to be to compete every night.”

San Antonio Spurs were given a boost after losing several key players to injury as they edged out Houston Rockets 110-106, ending a six-game losing run against their interstate rivals.

Dallas Mavericks came from behind to claim a 112-107 win over Oklahoma City Thunder while Kyle Lowry scored 30 points and 11 assists as Toronto Raptors beat Denver Nuggets 116-102.

Elsewhere, Phoenix Suns held off Los Angeles Lakers to win 116-107 at Staples Center while New York Knicks fell to a 101-79 defeat to Portland Trail Blazers.
