De Boer set to stay at Ajax

De Boer has emerged as the bookmakers??? favourite to replace Newcastle manager Alan Pardew, should he leave the club and join former club Crystal Palace.??

But the Dutchman’s representative insists he will not leave the club and that no contact has been made by Newcastle.

???Frank will never leave Ajax during this season.??? Guido Albers told Sports News HQ. ???There has been no contact to myself, or Ajax, from another club for Frank. We have received no approach at this stage.?????

Pardew was cut to odds-on favourite with some bookies on Monday to take over at Selhurst Park after Neil Warnock was sacked on Saturday.

Speculation has increased about Pardew’s future plans after he failed to attend the post-match press conference following his side’s 3-2 victory over Everton on Sunday.

Former Palace manager Tony Pulis and Hull manager Steve Bruce have also been linked with Newcastle if Pardew, who made 100 appearances during a four-year spell with Palace,??does leave St James’ Park.??

De Boer was linked with Tottenham job earlier this year but said he would only talk to Spurs at the end of the season, at the time he also described clubs like Tottenham and Newcastle United ??as sleeping giants.
