Knicks slump to another loss

The 101-91 defeat condemned the Knicks to their worst losing run in a single season and meant that they have lost 23 of their last 24 matches.

Jeff Teague put up 25 points for the Atlanta Hawks as they won a sixth game straight with a 96-86 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies, while the Detroit Pistons made it seven in a row, beating the Dallas Mavericks 108-95, but remain rooted to the foot of the Central Division.

Kyrie Irving poured in a season high 38 points in a losing effort as the Cleveland Cavaliers lost 105-93 to the Houston Rockets and the Charlotte Hornets claimed a 98-94 victory over the New Orleans Pelicans.

Brandon Knight and Khris Middleton both contributed 18 points in a 97-77 win for the Milwaukee Bucks over the struggling Philadelphia 76ers who took their home record to 1-15.

The Boston Celtics ended a three-game losing run with an 89-81 victory against the Brooklyn Nets and the Utah Jazz were 97-77 winners over the Chicago Bulls.

Blake Griffin poured in 27 points as the Clippers beat the Lakers 114-89 in the battle of Los Angeles and the Golden State Warriors were 117-102 victors over the Indiana Pacers.

In Wednesday’s other games, the Sacramento Kings beat the Oklahoma City Thunder 104-83 and the Denver Nuggets overcame the Orlando Magic 93-90.
