In recent years Kenichi, ranked 8th in the world, has been one of Chong Wei's main challengers foes on the court.
"My chances of winning titles are better without Chong Wei. But honestly, I will miss his presence," Kenichi told The Star.
The 12-leg Superseries will start with in England from March 3-8 in Birmingham.
"No matter what happens at the hearing, I hope Chong Wei will be back. I used to watch his matches in awe.
“His presence is good for the sport and the fans," Kenichi added.
