The pair will meet in the fourth round of the year's opening grand slam, with Anderson having enjoyed a strong start to the tournament.
The South African dispatched of Richard Gasquet in straight sets on Friday and says that he's very happy with his game at the moment.
"I'm really excited about today’s match," Anderson said after downing Gasquet.
"I think getting through that match in straight sets was important. It was really close, I saved set points both in the second and the third and it obviously just feels great getting done in three sets and not being out there for another set.
"I was really happy with how I played, I thought the conditions were quite tough out there. I thought it was quite windy at times. But I thought I served well throughout.
"I thought he played really well in the third set, I wasn’t getting many looks on his serve. Then he went down that mini break and then won four points in a row – it was just really up and down. It just feels really, really good to get it done in straight sets."
On the prospect of facing Nadal, Anderson asserted that all he could do was back himself.
"Obviously you don’t need to say too much about it, he’s going to be a really tough opponent," Anderson explained.
"I’m going to have to play really well, be really aggressive and not allow him to set up too much.
"But I feel I’m playing good tennis, I’m feeling really good out there, and if I can go out and execute with the commitment and intent that I’ve had for the last few games then I will give myself a great chance."
