World number four Alexander Zverev describes tennis superstar Roger Federer as being the only player that is almost ‘perfect’ in a recent interview.
The 20-year-old German, who is considered the next big thing in tennis and while growing up has idolised the 36-year-old Federer, told the Express, “There’s no one ‘perfect’ in tennis, except maybe when we talk about Roger.
“You could say he’s perfect.”
In 2017, Swiss star Federer had a stunning year winning two grand slam titles increasing his career tally to 19 Slams while Rafael Nadal won the other two and occupy the two top spots in the world rankings with the Spaniard in top spot.
Zverev showed this year that his enormous potential has started to shine through in tournaments by winning Masters series events in Rome and Toronto to reach No.4 in the rankings.
The young German has not really shone yet in the grand slams but has targetted doing well in in the Slams for 2018.
“I’m the world No.4, therefore I hope to do better at the Slams this year.”
