What is wrong with male Australian tennis players?
If it’s not Nick Kyrgios having his latest on-court tantrum and deliberately tanking in a match then it’s Bernard Tomic talking about how he only plays tennis for the money.
The latest episode in the careers of the two troubled Aussies occurred in Austria on Monday during Tomic’s first-round match at the Vienna Open against French qualifier Pierre-Hughes Herbert.
Tomic, whose world ranking has dropped more than 100 places since the start of the year, was leading 40-0 at 5-5 in the first set when he decided to serve underarm.
He lost the point.

Tomic also went on to lose the match 7-6 (7-4), 7-5, putting in a performance that had watching pundits suggesting that he was ‘going through the motions’.

Fans were also not impressed.
Home doing laundry and I'm moving more between my side-by-side washer and dryer than Tomic is moving in this match. ?

Tomic has won just one main draw match in three months and unless he is handed a wild card, will now have to go through qualifying for the Australian Open.
