All you need to know about the Wimbledon Draw

Friday saw the draw for the 131st Wimbledon Championships take place at the All England Club in London.

Top seed Andy Murray will be up against a yet-to-be-named lucky loser from the qualifying rounds in Round 1.

Third seed and bookmakers favourite Roger Federer faces the dangerous Alexandr Dolgopolov first up, while three-time Wimbledon winner Novak Djokovic opens against Martin Klizan, a player he has never lost to.

The men's draw leaves a number of mouthwatering quarter-finals: Murray is set to face Stan Wawrinka, Roland Garros champion Rafael Nadal is in line with Marin Cilic, Milos Raonic could be up against Australian Open winner Federer and Djokovic is on track to face rising star Dominic Thiem, who knocked the Serb out of Roland Garros a few weeks ago.

Other interesting matches in Round 1 include Juan Martin Del Potro v Australia's Thanasi Kokkinakis, while veterans Richard Gasquet and David Ferrer also face a difficult opener against each other.

In the women's draw, top seed Angelique Kerber will also face a lucky loser in the opening round and third seed Karolina Pliskova gets underway against Evgeniya Rodina.

For the quarters, if all hold seed, Kerber is in line to face the gritty Svetlana Kuznetsova, former number one Caroline Wozniacki could play Pliskova, WTA Finals winner Dominika Cibulkova is on track to face Elina Svitolina while British hope Johanna Konta will likely have to get past second seed Simona Halep to reach the semi-finals.
