Karolina Pliskova booked her spot in the semi-finals of the Miami Open following her straight set win on Tuesday.
The second seed defeated Mirjana Lucic-Baroni 6-2, 6-4 in just 70 minutes on the hard courts of Miami.
The powerful Czech raced to a 4-1 lead in the opening set, after which the duo swapped service breaks all the way to the end of the set, which was littered with serving errors from Lucic-Baroni.
While the Croat served better in the second set and earned a break to go 4-3 up, a consistent Pliskova rallied from behind to earn a the double break and seal the match win.

Lucic-Baroni was left lamenting her errors on serve, where she double faulted no less than ten times.
Pliskova will face former world number one Caroline Wozniacki in the semi-final after the number 12 seed defeated Lucie Safarova 6-4, 6-3.
