Australia secured a 3-0 win over the Czech Republic following a routine doubles win in Saturday's Davis Cup action.
Sam Groth and John Peers eased past Czech pair Jan Satral and Jiri Vesely 6-3, 6-2, 6-2 on the hard courts of Kooyong Lawn Tennis Club in Melbourne.
"I kept testing them to go out there and make a statement today," Australian Davis Cup captain Lleyton Hewitt told the press afterwards.

Elsewhere, France dominated Japan 3-0, with Pierre-Hugues Herbert and Nicolas Mahut defeating Japanese duo Yuichi Sugita and Yusutaka Uchiyama 6-3, 6-4, 6-4 in Tokyo earlier in the day.
In other results, Argentina trail Italy 2-0 after Andreas Seppi beat Carlos Berlocq 6-1, 6-2, 1-6, 7-6(6) and Germany levelled 1-1 with Belgium thanks to Alexander Zverev’s 6-3, 6-3 6-4 win over Arthur De Greef.
