Lauren Davis secured her maiden WTA title following her win over Ana Konjuh in the final of the ASB Classic on Saturday.
The American would need just 72 minutes to ease past the rising star 6-3, 6-1 on the hard courts of the New Zealand capital.
Konjuh would struggled with her usually potent serve, notching up five double faults which Davis took full advantage of.
Davis would break first in the opening set and while Konjuh would break right back, she got another chance the very next game and then served out the set.
The Croatian made Davis work hard in the second set and while she conceded three breaks, she had two break point opportunities of her own. But it was Davis' time in the spotlight and she did not let the moment slip.
"It's an incredible feeling winning my first WTA title at my favourite tournament," said the 23-year-old.
"I've been waiting for this moment for quite a few years. My goal was to just have fun and play my game and execute my shots."
