Kyrgios to quit tennis if he wins US Open

Australian tennis player Nick Kyrgios has once again hinted at walking away from the sport ahead of his US Open first round match against Britain’s Aljaz Bedene on Tuesday.

The latest outburst by the 21-year-old took place on Twitter after he called a snap two-minute Q&A session with his fans.

And as usual, he delivered something chaotic as is expected by his fans by saying he will walk away from tennis in less than two weeks if he wins the US Open.

This when Preston Hansen @skiforhim asked him via Twitter “what if you became number one and where playing at your best at 27. Would you still quit?”

Kyrgios responded by saying that if he won the US Open he would not be seen again. “if I won the US open now u would never see me again”

Then in another rather “controversial” response to a question, he declared that players were allowed to smoke weed on tour.

Kyrgios’ responce was short and sweet.

It will be interesting to see what more the young Australian will have to say going forward if he gets to the latter stages of the tournament over the next two weeks.
