Andy Murray defeated Milos Raonic 6-3, 6-3 on the way to the final of the Cincinnati Masters last weekend, but he very nearly made headlines for a very different reason.
The Scot produced plenty of quality shots throughout the contest, but it was when he decided to give the crowd a taste of his football skills that he nearly found himself in serious hot water.
At one point, Murray decided to exercise his frustration by kicking a return from Raonic back over the net.
He connected beautifully, producing a peach of a volley. The only problem was he nearly kicked it straight into the chair umpire’s face.
