Top seed Feliciano Lopez won the Swiss Open on Sunday after beating Robin Haase 6-4, 7-5 in the final.
Lopez claimed his fifth ATP Tour title and first since winning the AEGON International in June 2014. It was also his first singles title this year, with the Spaniard have claimed the French Open doubles title with Marc Lopez.
After neither player gave anything away early on, Lopez edged ahead 3-2 as he broke Hasse in the fifth game. The Spaniard held on to his advantage to take the opener 6-4.
Heading into the second set, Haase broke Lopez in the second game on his way to taking a 3-0 lead, but Lopez reduced the deficit to 3-2 by breaking Haase in the fifth game. The 34-year-old broke Haase again in the 11th game to go 6-5 up before serving out the set.
