Six-time winner in Cincinnati Roger Federer believes he has been playing some "great tennis" at the Western & Southern Open so far this week.
Federer advanced to the semi-finals of the US Open tune-up event with a 6-3, 6-4 victory over Spain's Feliciano Lopez in the quarter-finals on Friday in what was his 12th consecutive victory at the tournament.
The Swiss ace needed just 61 minute to sweep past the Spaniard and improved his season's record to 43-7 with the victory.
"I'm very happy with how I got out of the blocks again," said Federer, who last played at Wimbledon before this week's tournament, after the match.
"I'm playing great tennis and I'm feeling good, feeling healthy and enjoying myself. That's important at this point of my career.
"I feel better at the net than I ever have and I hope to keep that up. I want to win the US Open again but I still have work to get done here."
Federer takes on new world number two Andy Murray in the semi-finals, after the Scot beat Richard Gasquet 4-6, 6-1, 6-4 in his quarter-final.
