Spain’s Rafael Nadal has pulled out of the Wimbledon warm-up event at The Queen’s Club due to the same wrist injury which forced him to pull out of the fourth round at Roland Garros.
Nadal’s withdrawal from the Queen’s tournament which begins on June 13 means that there is a chance he may miss Wimbledon and the chance of winning a third title at the grass-court event.
In an interview with The Queen’s Club website, Nadal said he was sad to miss the event.

“I am very sad that my wrist injury means that I cannot play at The Queen’s Club this year,” Nadal said.
“It is a tournament and a club that I love, I enjoy playing in front of the British people, and I was looking forward to trying to win the title for a second time,” he added.
The world number five now has almost four weeks to see if his wrist heals in time for the year’s third grand slam that starts on June 27 at Wimbledon.
