After two days of play – unfortunately hampered by rain – Roland Garros 2016 is starting to find its stride.
Second seed Andy Murray faces a battle to stay in the tournament, while defending champion Stan Wawrinka was pushed all the way in a first-round clash. It’s such matches that one wants to see from the start of a grand slam, one of the many things that set the game’s four biggest tournaments apart from the rest.
There is no doubting Roland Garros’ standing as one of the jewels in tennis’ crown though. Every year Paris serves up tennis to remember, with plenty of twists and turns.
