Bernard Tomic says that he is available for selection in Australia's Davis Cup semi-final clash against Britain.
The 22-year-old was dropped from Australia’s team after making unsavoury comments directed at the countries tennis establishment in an interview earlier this year at Wimbledon.
According to media reports, Tomic met with Australia's Davis Cup captain Wally Masur at the US Open and could very well be selected to play in the September 18-20 Davis Cup semi-final.
"I'm ready to play," Tomic told reporters after losing to Frenchman Richard Gasquet at Flushing Meadows.
"We need our best players out there. If I have the opportunity I'm always ready to play these ties."
Belgium plays Argentina in the other semi-final.
