Caroline Wozniacki has withdrawn from the 2016 French Open which starts on Sunday in Paris.
The Dane, who has never advanced past the quarter-finals of the event, rolled her ankle at WTA Istanbul in April and had hoped to be fully recovered in time.
However, the Roland Garros twitter account revealed she would be absent from the years second grand slam.

After poor results at Indian Wells and Miami, Wozniacki has dropped to 34th in the world.
