Tomic’s shocking reaction to tanking scandal

Bernard Tomic has a habit of making the headlines for the wrong reasons and today is no different.

The Australian recently made headlines after he was accused of ‘tanking’ the final point against Fabio Fognini in the Mutua Madrid Open, needing just 54 minutes to breeze past an indifferent Tomic.

In the final point, Tomic held his racket upside down as he attempted to return the Italian’s serve.

In retaliation to the widespread criticism he received, the world number 22 simply said: “I don’t care about that match point…would you care if you were 23 and worth over $10 million?”
