French tennis star Gael Monfils praised Novak Djokovic saying the Serb was the world number one because “he is the best in every shot. He has all the answers to the best shots of this sport.”
In an interview in Miami, Monfils said: “One day a player will put an end to his domination, but you do not know who.
“Someone who will be inspired, who will make him play differently. We have seen some players who have made him struggle, but at the moment, he is at the top of the game.
“He finds a solution for each of our shots and for every problem that he has to face.”
Monfils has lost all 10 matches against Djokovic.
On Friday, Djokovic beat Belgium’s David Goffin to reach the Miami Open final with a 7-6(5), 6-4 victory and will face Japan’s sixth seed Kei Nishikori after he beat 24th seed Nick Kyrgios of Australia 6-3, 7-5.
