Russian superstar Maria Sharapova is set to make a big announcement on Monday in Las Vegas.
Reports suggest the impending announcement from the 28-year-old could either be a hiatus from tennis or a retirement altogether.
Maria Sharapova has called a press conference for a ‘major announcement’ tomorrow.
Played 3 events in 8 months.

Sharapova has been hampered by injury in the past few months, only featuring in the Australian Open where she lost to Serena Williams in the quarter-finals. As a result, the former world number one has slipped down to seventh in the WTA rankings. The latest in a series of injuries is a forearm strain, which saw Sharapova withdraw from the Fed Cup and the Qatar Open. She had hoped to play at this week’s event at Indian Wells, but has since pulled out.
