American tennis star Serena Williams has claimed another notable achievement in her tennis career after reaching 150 consecutive weeks as world number one.
The run at the top of the rankings began on February 18, 2013, and has so far lasted until the week of December 28, 2015. This after a career-threatening injury and illness lay-off for 11 months across 2010 and 2011.
Williams now sits in third place in the longest World No.1 ranking streak, behind Steffi Graf on 186 weeks and Martina Navratilova on 156 weeks.
In overall weeks as World No.1 Williams sits on 273 weeks overall, trailing Graf (377) and Navratilova (332) on that list.
