World number one Serena Williams revealed that the ongoing International Premier Tennis League has been a great success all round.
Williams is part of the Manila-based Philippine Mavericks franchise, who are currently second in the standings behind defending champions the Indian Aces.
The 21-time grand slam winner indicated that apart from the passionate crowds, the players are enjoying themselves on the court.
"Players are loving the IPTL format…also the circuit is often lonely when you are by yourself but here it is different," the 34-year-old told tennisworldusa.org.
"Moreover, team camaraderie is great and everyone wants to win. Clearly the league is here to stay with the crowd loving it and was evident from the support in Manila."
Despite 2016 being Williams' 21st year as a professional, she added that she is not lacking any motivation to perform on the WTA Tour.
"Inspiration or motivation is not a factor, I want to keep winning," added the American.
"To become a champion you have to work hard, there is no substitute and don't take no for an answer."
Later today, the Mavericks take on the Singapore Slammers in New Delhi.
