The French Open is the only Grand Slam that the 27-year-old is yet to win, having twice lost to Nadal in the final.
Looking ahead to 2015, Djokovic has set his sights on going one better and reigning supreme at Roland Garros.
"I have been pretty close to winning the French Open title a few times and have played a few finals and semi-finals but I have a small problem, his name is Nadal. He is not going away, that’s for sure. What he did in the French Open in his career is something that very few players in the history have managed. I respect him a lot," said the Serbian.
"I am going to push hard for it, I’m going to keep on trying each year. Hopefully, I can keep on going, I have that self-belief, I know I can do it and hopefully by the end of my career I am going to get one trophy there."
The Serbian ace has seven Grand Slam trophies to his name, having won the Australian Open four times, Wimbledon twice and the US Open once.
