Fiji make five changes for Uruguay

Fiji coach John McKee has named his team for the Pool A match against Uruguay at Stadium MK on Tuesday.

With an average age of 29 years and 108 days, it will be Fiji's oldest starting XV since their 41-13 win against Japan at RWC 2003.

"We have not been consistent enough though in our play of the 80 minutes to get a win," coach John McKee said on Sunday.

"This will be our challenge come Tuesday; to work well as a team across the whole 80 minutes, in our effort to win the game.

"The mood in the camp has remained positive and the players have trained well in preparation for this game and are very focused towards making their mark for Fiji Rugby in our final game."

There are four personnel changes and one positional change to the team that lost to Wales.

Nemani Nadolo returns from suspension and replaces Asaeli Tikoirotuma, who moves to the right wing. Timoci Nagusa, who played there against Wales, drops out of the match-day 23.

Kini Murimurivalu comes in at full-back for Metuisela Talebula.

There are two changes in the forward pack. Apisalome Ratuniyarawa replaces Tevita Cavubati in the second row and Sakiusa Matadigo is the new number eight, coming in for Netani Talei.

On the bench, Taniela Koroi could win his third cap. He was called into the squad last week to replace Isei Colati.

Captain Akapusi Qera will win his 51st cap and become the second most capped player for Fiji, ahead of Seremaia Bai but still 20 caps behind Nicky Little's 71.

Nadolo needs four tries to equal Fiji's record for most tries held by Sanivalati Laulau who scored 20 between 1980 and 1985.
