Thailand’s Napis Tortungpanich failed to make the final of the 50m rifle 3 positions shooting event at the Rio Olympic Games on Sunday.
The sports shooter would accumulate 1159 points at the Olympic Shooting Centre, only enough for 37th position out of 44 athletes.
Sergey Kamenskiy would top the table of the qualification round, from which the top eight shooters advance to the final later on Sunday.
The Russian is the hot favourite for the gold medal after posting 1184 points, earning himself an Olympic Record in the process.
Kamenskiy was followed by Daniel Bodmeier of Germany and Norway’s Ole Kristian Bryhn, both on 1177 points.
