Jiewchaloemmit narrowly misses out

Thailand’s Sutiya Jiewchaloemmit narrowly missed out on qualifying for the women’s skeet shooting semi-finals at the Olympics on Friday.

The 30-year-old, who finished fifth in this discipline back in 2008, finished in 10th place in the qualifiers with a total of 68 points from three rounds.

That was just one shot behind Morgan Craft of the United States, who claimed the sixth and last spot for the semi-finals.

China’s Wei Meng won the qualifiers with a new Olympic record haul of 73 points.
