Veteran rider Fabian Cancellara was the surprise winner of the men's individual time trial at the Rio Olympics on Wednesday.
The 35-year-old capped off his final season in cycling in style as he followed up his Olympic gold in Beijing eight years ago with another big victory.
The Swiss completed the 54.5-kilometres course in one hour 12 minutes 15.42 seconds.
Tom Dumoulin of Holland took silver in 1:13:02.83, while Tour de France champion Chris Froome had to settle for bronze in 1:13:17.54.
The course, which consisted of two laps of the undulating Grumari circuit, was expected to favour Froome, but that wasn't how it turned out.
Cancellara appeared to be riding a different course as he finished a full 47 seconds clear of his nearest challenger.
