James Milner has seen the funny side of his public image after the Liverpool midfielder made his debut on social media.
Over the last four years, the ‘Boring James Milner’ parody Twitter account has gathered almost 600,000 followers with its tongue-in-cheek look on the 32-year-old’s life on and off the pitch.
The account plays on the perception of Milner being dull, with tweets containing obvious statements or comedy conversations with his Liverpool team-mates.

And the former Manchester City man has now joined in the fun after opening an official Twitter account.
Milner tweeted a photo of himself ironing, accompanied by the caption: “Throwback Thursday to yesterday… when I wasn’t on Twitter!”
With Milner not included in the England squad for the international break, he can afford to take it easy, ahead of Liverpool’s return to action on Saturday March 31.
I’m trying to decide how to best prepare for the Man Utd v Liverpool derby tomorrow. What do you guys think?
