A Thai keeper was left with egg on his face after he began celebrating a missed penalty, only for the ball to spin back into the net.
The incident occurred at the weekend during a cup semi-final between Bangkok Sports Club and Satri Angthong.
The match finished 2-2 and went to a penalty shootout.
Reports said that the shoot-out turned into a marathon and was level at 19-19 when Bangkok’s keeper stepped up to take his spot kick.
His effort struck the crossbar and flew up into the air. Seeing the ball going into orbit, the opposing keeper ran toward the centre circle celebrating wildly, while the penalty taker hung his head in despair.

As they did so, the ball landed and span back toward the goal.
Realising what was happening, the keeper chased back, but was too late to stop the ball bouncing into the net.
To make matters worse, Satri Angthong missed their next spot-kick to send Bangkok through to next month’s final.
