Initially the 2015 British MotoGP Grand Prix was to be hosted by Donington Park in a deal backed by the Circuit of Wales, having won the contract from Silverstone.
The deal though fell through due to issues with the financial backing and as a result, Silverstone will now host the event for the next two years.
In a chat with Crash.net, Redding says he prefers Silverstone.
"I prefer racing at Silverstone if I'm honest," Redding told Crash.Net.
"If we go to Circuit of Wales we'll need to put motocross tyres on! Donington Park is a nice circuit but a bit small for MotoGP.
"Silverstone, for me, is one of the best tracks on the MotoGP circuit and I think a lot of riders would agree with me," he added.
Testing has gone well in Sepand for the 22-year-old rider on his factory Honda RC213V with former team Marc VDS.
Redding feels MotoGP bikes are much more suitable for the quicker Silverstone track.
"Fast and flowing, a kind of circuit all riders like so I'm glad we are going back to Silverstone.
"I've got experience there and enjoy it a lot, so hopefully this season we can make it a good race," he added.
