In a chat with Motorsport.com, Agag confirmed that they are working on taking the race to France.
"It's actually neither on or off! We are working on it. We have an open conversation with Paris and we hope it will end up on a positive note.
"I'm very optimistic, but it's not done yet," he added.
Earlier this season Agag predicted that the London ePrix would happen at Battersea Park and it did.
"The last time I said I was optimistic about racing somewhere was Battersea – and we are going to race in Battersea."
It makes sense for Paris to host a Formula E event as the city is trying to boost its sustainable energy agenda.
