Miami too hot for Sixers as Knicks win again

The Miami Heat came from behind to beat bottom outfit the Philadelphia 76ers, while the New York Knicks continued their winning form with a victory over the Houston Rockets in Saturday's NBA action.

The Sixers dominated the first half of the match and by the end of the second quarter found themselves with a 15-point lead. Led by the brilliant Dwayne Wade, who starred with 27 points four assists and seven rebounds on the night, the Heat turned the match around in the third and fourth quarters to claim a 96-91 victory over the winless Philadelphia outfit.

The Knicks won their fourth successive match when they beat the Rockets by 107 points to 102.

In something of a topsy-turvy affair, Kristaps Porzingis led the scoring for NY with 24 points, 14 rebounds and a pair of assists, while James Harden scored 24 and assisted 10 for the Rockets.

Inspired by a 29-point haul from DeMarcus Cousins, the LA Kings were too good for the Orlando Magic and won 97-91. 

The Indiana Pacers won a one-sided match against the Milwaukee Bucks, with the scores at 123-86. By the end of the second quarter the Pacers' lead was only four points, but scorelines of 35-16 and 33-19 in the third and fourth quarters set up an easy win for the Pacers. 

Jordan Hill scored 20 points, 11 rebounds and a solitary assist for the Pacers, while Greg Monroe contributed 11 points to the Bucks cause.

A storming start by the Cleveland Cavaliers saw them claim a 109-97 win over the Atlanta Hawks.

The Cavs had a 15-point advantage after the second quarter and even though the Hawks outscored LeBron James' team in the second half of the match, their late resurgence simply added some respectability to the score.

James scored 19 of the Heat's points and contributed 11 rebounds and eight assists, while Paul Millsap scored 14 with 11 rebounds and five assists for the Hawks.

The Washington Wizards claimed a narrow 97-95 win over the Detroit Pistons. Reggie Jackson scored 20 points, three rebounds and nine assists in a losing cause, while Rene Hilario scored 18 and assisted two for the Wizards.

The San Antonio Spurs beat the Memphis Grizzlies 92-82 in Saturday's final match. Tim Duncan scored 10, assisted four and contributed 10 rebounds for Spurs, while Mike Conley added 16 points, three rebounds and five assists for the Grizzlies.
