What you see is not necessarily what we will get when it comes to Halo as the FIA have acknowledged that there is scope to develop it.
Halo will be on the cars next season after the FIA announced that they were going ahead with cockpit protection.
The decision has not gone down well with many in the paddock, or fans, who feel it is ugly.
However, motorsport's governing body says there is a bit of leeway to develop it still.
"The central strut is currently 20mm," said FIA safety director Laurent Mekies. "We feel that we have scope to reduce that thickness for the benefit of the drivers' forward vision.
"So we will be testing before next year, going as low as 16mm, and see how much we can push it."
