Lorenzo’s Yamaha stay confirmed

Jarvis revealed that Lorenzo had an ‘option' in his two-year that runs out at the end of the current season.

"I can assure you and I can assure the MotoGP paddock that Jorge will be with Yamaha for 2016," Jarvis told MotoGP.com.

Lorenzo was rumoured to be interested in a move to Ducati after spending his entire career at Yamaha, but Friday's news puts an end to that rumour.

His team-mate Valentino Rossi and Repsol Honda riders Marc Marquez and Dani Pedrosa have contracts until the end of 2016.
