Indonesian driving sensation, Sean Gelael, has been rewarded for his speedy performances in Formula 2 last season with the opportunity to take part in three Formula 1 tests with Toro Rosso during the 2017 campaign.
Gelael will feature in Formula 1 tests with Toro Rosso during the 2017 season in Bahrain, Hungary and Abu Dhabi.
Gelael will make his official debut in a Formula 1 car on 18-19 April during the first in-season test in Bahrain.

At just 20 years of age, he is preparing for a second full season in Formula 1’s feeder series, switching to Arden for this year after finishing 15th in the standings with Campos in 2016.
After the disapointment of Rio Haryanto losing his Formula 1 seat, this is exciting news for motor racing in South East Asia.
