EU ‘anti-competition’ probe still on agenda

Basketball 3-pointer: High school athlete with a disability hits shot of a lifetime

UK MEP Anneliese Dodds has denied claims that an EU probe into the anti-competitive nature of Formula 1 has been scrapped.

Dodds not only wants an investigation into the income and governance systems that operate within F1, but also a closer look at the $8billion takeover from Liberty Media.

There have been reports since that the prospect of an investigation is completely off the table, but a spokesman on behalf of Dodds has rejected the story outright.

"I can assure you that the Commissioner is well aware of our position, and what they have and haven't ruled out," he said.

"I'm going to be speaking with Anneliese about all of this when she arrives in Brussels later today and we'll think of the next steps."
